Manu Singh’s story is one of resilience. His father, the sole breadwinner, struggled daily to provide for his family - the prospect of education for his two sons seemed impossible. Yet, against all odds, Manu shone as a class topper.

The turning point came when Manu and his brother found a lifeline in our free schools scattered across the country. They received the support they needed to pursue their dreams, defying the limitations of their circumstances.

But Manu's story is not unique. Across India, countless children are weighed down by the harsh realities of poverty, often unable to enjoy even a single square meal, let alone three. Every third child suffers from chronic undernourishment, and every fifth child is acutely malnourished.

According to the National Family Health Survey, the statistics on malnutrition paint a grim picture, revealing alarming rates from 1992 to 2020 - figures that may be even more troubling today.

Awards Won by Students

Students from The Art of Living Free School Hendaljuri continue to excel in sports, bringing pride to their community. At the HCL-ICC Inter-Camp Archery Tournament in Ghatsila (March 12, 2024), Meghrai Soren won Gold, Shraddha Namata bagged Silver, and Alomani Mahato earned two Silvers. Similarly, the Hendaljuri team secured the Second Runners-Up title at the JRD Foundation Football Tournament (March 18, 2024) among 19 teams.

Earlier achievements include the Runner-Up position in the Tata Kolhan Super League Football Tournament (Nov 2022) and a Bronze Medal in the JRD Tata Foundation's Inter-School Archery Competition (Oct 2022), highlighting their consistent dedication and success in sports.
